Donated Coats Cleaned at No Cost
SALEM — Locally owned Daisy Cleaners helped clean more than 100 coats donated as part of a book sale, food sale and coat drive at the local Xerox agency, Benchmark Office Systems in Windham.
The coats were donated through local churches at the book sale, and by many people who just want to keep children and families warm this winter.
Jim Desjardins, owner of Daisy Cleaners, and his team offered to clean them at no charge so the recipients wouldn’t have to worry about that. They were brought to Daisy Cleaners by the carful, then returned to Benchmark, ready to be donated.
Daisy Cleaners is at 14 South Broadway.
